Asterisk Talley is a California native, SCGA champion, and a teenager who is quickly becoming a household name thanks to an incredible, sustained run of success that includes a win at this year’s U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
At just 17-years-old and donning a memorable name that means “little star” in Greek, there has been nothing small about Talley’s mark on the women’s amateur game.
While her SCGA victory came in 2025 at the CIF-SCGA SoCal Girls High School Championship, Talley had already become the first to compete in three same-year USGA championship final matches when, in 2024, she won the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball and finished runner-up at the U.S. Girls’ Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur.
Also preluding her SCGA win was a victory at the Annika Invitational and a runner-up finish at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
By winning the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, Talley has put her name on the same trophy as Rose Zhang, Lydia Ko, Danielle Kang, and Babe Zaharias. Talley was also a part of the winning U.S. team at the 2026 Curtis Cup Match.
Once you hear her name, it’s impossible to forget. But Asterisk Talley clearly has the game and accolades of someone outliving it.
